Con\u00e8ixer els par\u00e0metres t\u00e8cnics que determinen fins a quines temperatures poden funcionar correctament, o qu\u00e8 pot passar si arriben als seus l\u00edmits respectius, pot ser \u00fatil si vivim en zones on els hiverns s\u00f3n especialment durs. <\/p>\n\n<p>En aquest article coneixerem aquestes caracter\u00edstiques, les difer\u00e8ncies que hi ha entre els dos tipus de combustible, i fins a quines temperatures poden funcionar de manera estable i segura per al motor del nostre vehicle.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Com afecta el fred a la benzina?<\/h2>\n\n<p>La benzina \u00e9s menys sensible al fred que el di\u00e8sel, encara que aix\u00f2 no significa que no h\u00e0gim d&#8217;anar amb compte si aconseguim temperatures extremadament fredes.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>El punt de congelaci\u00f3<\/strong> d&#8217;aquest tipus de combustible est\u00e0 <strong>per sota dels -40\u00ba<\/strong> , una temperatura que es d\u00f3na a molt poques regions del planeta. No obstant aix\u00f2, no cal assolir el punt de congelaci\u00f3 i que se solidifiqui perqu\u00e8 la benzina: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Disminueixi la seva evaporaci\u00f3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dificultil&#8217;arrencada en fred del motor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Augmenti lleugerament el consum fins a assolir la temperatura \u00f2ptima<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Per evitar problemes d&#8217;arrencada freda, la benzina no es mant\u00e9 igual tot l&#8217;any. La seva formulaci\u00f3 canvia segons l&#8217;estaci\u00f3, especialment pel que fa a la <strong>pressi\u00f3 de vapor (RVP &#8211; Reid Vapor Pressure &#8211; per les sigles en angl\u00e8s)<\/strong> ia determinats par\u00e0metres de destil\u00b7laci\u00f3 regulats per la norma europea <a href=\"https:\/\/www.une.org\/encuentra-tu-norma\/busca-tu-norma\/norma?c=N0058910\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>EN 228<\/strong><\/a> . A l&#8217;hivern, <strong>la pressi\u00f3 de vapor<\/strong> \u00e9s m\u00e9s alta per augmentar la volatilitat del combustible i facilitar-ne l&#8217;arrencada en fred.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Aix\u00f2 \u00e9s important perqu\u00e8 <strong>la benzina necessita evaporar-se per barrejar-se correctament amb l&#8217;aire dins del motor<\/strong> . A temperatures baixes, l&#8217;evaporaci\u00f3 \u00e9s m\u00e9s dif\u00edcil. En permetre una pressi\u00f3 de vapor m\u00e9s gran i ajustar la part inicial de la <strong>corba de destil\u00b7laci\u00f3<\/strong> (\u00e9s a dir, la proporci\u00f3 de components m\u00e9s lleugers que s&#8217;evaporen abans), s&#8217;afavoreix la formaci\u00f3 de vapors fins i tot amb fred, millorant l&#8217;encesa i l&#8217;estabilitat del motor en els primers segons de funcionament.  <\/p>\n\n<p>En condicions normals, <strong>la benzina funciona b\u00e9 fins i tot per sota dels -20\u00ba<\/strong> (temperatures que s\u00f3n dif\u00edcils d&#8217;assolir a Espanya), per la qual cosa no ens hem de preocupar que hi hagi risc de congelaci\u00f3 o solidificaci\u00f3 del combustible.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Com afecta el fred al di\u00e8sel?<\/h2>\n\n<p>El di\u00e8sel, per contra, <strong>s\u00ed que \u00e9s un combustible m\u00e9s susceptible a les baixes temperatures<\/strong> a causa de les parafines naturals que formen part de la seva composici\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n<p>Quan baixen les temperatures, aquestes parafines es poden comen\u00e7ar a cristal\u00b7litzar donant lloc a l&#8217;anomenat <strong>punt d&#8217;enterboliment (cloud point)<\/strong> , que en gasoils convencionals est\u00e0 sobre els -5\u00ba. A partir d&#8217;aquell moment apareixen petits vidres visibles que augmenten progressivament si la temperatura continua baixant. Quan s&#8217;assoleix el <strong>CFPP<\/strong> ( <strong>Cold Filter Plugging Point)<\/strong> , que al gasoil d&#8217;hivern a Espanya sol situar-se al voltant de <strong>-10 \u00b0C,<\/strong> el combustible pot deixar de fluir correctament a trav\u00e9s del filtre. Aix\u00f2 passa perqu\u00e8 <strong>els vidres s&#8217;acumulen i obstrueixen el filtre<\/strong> , impedint que el gasoil arribi en quantitat suficient al sistema d&#8217;injecci\u00f3. Si aix\u00f2 arrib\u00e9s a passar, el resultat podria ser:    <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dificultat o impossibilitat d&#8217;arrencar el motor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>P\u00e8rdua de pot\u00e8ncia mentre se circula<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parada del motor quan l&#8217;obstrucci\u00f3 \u00e9s greu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>El CFPP (Cold Filter Plugging Point) \u00e9s el par\u00e0metre que marca la temperatura m\u00ednima a qu\u00e8 el gasoil pot travessar el filtre sense que aquest es bloquegi.<\/p>\n\n<p>Per tant, <strong>en el cas del di\u00e8sel, el par\u00e0metre determinant no \u00e9s la volatilitat<\/strong> (com passa a la gasolina), sin\u00f3 la seva <strong>flu\u00efdesa en fred<\/strong> . Aquesta caracter\u00edstica est\u00e0 regulada a Europa per la norma <a href=\"https:\/\/www.une.org\/encuentra-tu-norma\/busca-tu-norma\/norma?c=N0069568\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EN 590<\/a> , que estableix diferents classes clim\u00e0tiques i l\u00edmits de CFPP segons l&#8217;\u00e8poca de l&#8217;any i la zona geogr\u00e0fica, garantint que el combustible comercialitzat a l&#8217;hivern estigui adaptat a les temperatures habituals de cada regi\u00f3. <\/p>\n\n<p>Hi ha additius per disminuir el punt de congelaci\u00f3 fins a -30\u00ba que poden ser \u00fatils si vivim en zones amb climes molt freds, o si hi ha previsi\u00f3 d&#8217;una baixada molt forta de temperatures, que es poden afegir al dip\u00f2sit de combustible. A Espanya, si tenim un vehicle que funciona amb benzina, no haur\u00edem de tenir problemes causats pel fred.
